Yes, RazorX is a licensed product of the Razor Scooter Company. But it is a seperate entity unto itself. All of our boards are designed and tested by real live skateboarders. Together we have over 40 years of skating experience. From streetstyle to downhill to halfpipe to slalom to skatepark to sliding, all facets of skateboarding are represented in the design team. All of that knowledge is put into making skateboards that perform as expected by real skaters. RazorX boards are built to ride, not carry around.
We're no late party crashers.
While the RazorX brand of skateboards began showing up in stores in 2007, our history goes back much further. We began our private label line of boards back in early 2001 and were sold all over the United States and Canada. Many top retailers as well as smaller sporting goods chains had great success with our designs before we focused our attention on RazorX.
Rust (and skateboarders) Never Sleeps
At RazorX we are constantly coming up with new graphics and new concepts for skateboarding. One of our latest innovations is the Spark Sk8 which features a spark plate on the tail which sends a shower of delight with every tail drag! We are always trying out new components and materials in our quest for better products at a better value. We have many projects in the works for the future. Different shapes, longboards, and a RazorX PRO line are all in development currently.
Girls don't skate
That's what buyers have told us for years. And that's a load of hogwash! If you take a look around the skatepark and the streets, you'll see plenty of girls participating - not just standing around. One of our graphics designers is both a girl AND a skater. We know that girls skate and we've designed boards for them featuring graphics that are not too "hardcore", but on the other hand not too "girly" either.
One Trick Pony
This we are not. We also have a complete line of CPSC approved helmets and pads for skaters. Real deal stuff, not junky knockoffs. Our helmets have been used in competitions all over the world as well as a street corner near you. And we've got a drawer full of letters and photos of people whose lives we've saved with our helmets. That's something we're very proud of.
